Daryl Griffith’s Zombies: The Musical - put together by an experienced creative team of theatre, film and TV - is an irreverent comedy in the style of The Producers and Book of Mormon. Featuring an eclectic mix of genres including traditional musical theatre, swing and up-tempo pop, it tells the tale of two star-crossed would-be lovers, desperately searching for each other even in death. It can be performed with as few as 10 actors and 4 musicians, but ideally suits a cast of 16-20 and a band of 9 to 15.

Emily is an unassuming laboratory scientist hopelessly in love with the Director of the Institute, the good-looking but arrogant Gerald. A mishap in the lab causes a terrible explosion and triggers a lab shutdown, trapping Gerald behind the safety glass. Overcome by fumes, he’s ultimately pronounced dead at the scene - but is he?

Composer, lyricist and musical director Daryl is formerly principal pianist and conductor at English National Ballet, and his music appears in programmes as diverse as The Apprentice, Sex & the City and a Star Wars trailer. Executive Producer Bradley’s credits include music-editing Baby Driver and Netflix’s Our Planet.

The featured videos are compiled from the very successful showcase performances at The Other Palace Studio Theatre, on 16-19 October 2019.
